HFI History

Hope for Israel was founded by Moran Rosenblit in 2000. Moran was born and raised in Israel. During his service in the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces), he lost some close friends in a tragic event. As a result, he lost hope for life and for Israel.

In 1997, Moran arrived in the United States seeking to find hope and a future. After accepting an invitation to visit Hope Chapel in Hermosa Beach, California, Moran was challenged by the pastor to seek the truth for himself.

In his search for the truth, Morans eyes were opened to the existence of God and the acknowledgment of Yeshua as the Messiah of Israel. As a result, Moran found a new hope, not only for his own life, but also for Israel and the rest of the world.

Moran now desires to share that hope, which he found in the Messiah, with his own people and the rest of the world. It became clear to him that "the time has come" and "Gods Kingdom is near"; it is time "to turn to God from [our] iniquities and believe the Good News." (Mark 1:15)

In a time when most people have lost their hope for peace within Israel and the rest of the world, when we see and hear bad news, we know there is still hope; we know there is Good News. Our hope is not found in any political solution or any other man-made effort. It is found in the living Word of God and the Messiah that He gave us, so that we may be at peace with Him and with other men.

Yeshua taught us that, apart from God, there is neither hope, forgiveness, nor peace. It is only through being reconciled to God, through Yeshua (John 14:6), that we may find peace. In the book of Matthew, He gives us the two greatest commandments: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." (Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37) and "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:39b).

Our primary aim is first and foremost to make talmidim (disciples) of Yeshua and to teach everything that Yeshua has commanded us to do (Matthew 28:18-20). We desire to see the followers of the Messiah return to the teaching of the Bible, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, to prayer, and to unity as one heart, under God. God has called us to be a light and to live as an example to all nations. We believe that as we obey Him, He will add to our numbers daily, those who will be saved:

"And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. And everyone kept feeling a sense of awe; and many wonders and signs were taking place through the apostles. And all those who had believed were together, and had all things in common; and they began selling their property and possessions, and were sharing them with all, as anyone might have need. And day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved." (Acts 2:42-47)

We desire to see the Body of Messiah (Jewish and Gentile persons who believe in Yeshua as their Messiah) work together as one entity under one God in prayer and support of one another. We offer both prayer and financial support to Jewish and Arab disciples of Yeshua in Israel. We are reaching out to Israelis in the United States and around the world who have left Israel for various reasons. Our goal is to see them come to faith in Yeshua and return back to Israel, as a fulfillment of Gods prophecy to gather His people back to the land:

"Therefore say, Thus says the Lord GOD, "I shall gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries among which you have been scattered, and I shall give you the land of Israel." When they come there, they will remove all its detestable things and all its abominations from it. And I shall give them one heart, and shall put a new spirit within them. And I shall take the heart of stone out of their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. Then they will be My people, and I shall be their God." (Ezekiel 11:17-20)

AMEN.
